Rule of Thirds

The rule of thirds is a guide when you want to take a photograph, but it can also be used in graphic design.

It works by having a nine square grid on your camera when you want to take a photo, where the vertical and horizontal lines cross that's where you have your subject. When taking pictures of horizons you put the horizontal lines where the sky and the ground meet.
