Shutter Zoom

To achieve this effect you have to focus on the object, zoom out, and as you're pressing the shutter button move in again to the object. This makes the background look blurry but the object in focus, even though the object is not moving.




The camera must be on a slow shutter, mine being on 1/30.

Panning shots

To achieve this effect you have to put the camera on a low shutter speed, mine being 1/30.

You then focus the camera on the moving object and move with the object, which makes the background blurry.

A photo is a panning shot if the background is blurry but the moving object is in a sharp focus.
